I'm Karan, a product photographer Melton brands and ecommerce sellers use for clean white-background packshots, lifestyle product imagery and considered still life work. I've shot for beverage and lifestyle brands including Tanqueray, Pine Water and Pineapple Daiquiri, Vibe Culture coffee and Euphoria fragrance.

What I Shoot as a Product Photographer in Melton

Product photography is one of those quiet specialties that doesn't get talked about as much as portrait or wedding work, but it's where I do some of my favourite shooting. As a product photographer in Melton I work across a few different formats, and most clients pick a mix of two or three for the same range.

White-background ecommerce packshots. Crisp, evenly-lit images with clean edges, ready for your store, marketplace listings and wholesale catalogues. Consistent lighting and angles across the full range so the listings sit nicely together.

Lifestyle product photography. Your product in context. A coffee bag on a bench beside a freshly-poured espresso. A fragrance bottle in soft window light. The kind of frame that lives well on a homepage hero or an Instagram feed.

Beverage photography. I shoot a lot of drinks work. Spirits like Tanqueray, ready-to-drink products like Pineapple Daiquiri, water brands like Pine Water and coffee brands like Vibe Culture. Glass, condensation, ice, garnish and pour shots all need a slightly different setup, and I've spent enough hours on each that I know which one is going to behave.

Cosmetic and fragrance photography. Reflective bottles, glossy packaging and printed labels need flattering, controlled lighting. Brands like Euphoria need their colour and finish coming through accurately, with the kind of mood that matches a fragrance shelf.

Still life photography. Considered, slower, art-led. Single-product hero images where the lighting and the props do most of the storytelling. This kind of work suits brand campaigns and editorial pieces.

Range and seasonal shoots. New product launches, range refreshes, seasonal collections. I'll plan the look across the whole shoot so the imagery feels like a family rather than a row of mismatched pictures.

If you also need branding, retail interior or business imagery alongside your product shots, the commercial photographer Melton page covers that ground. Many small brands book the two together so the website launch matches.

How My Product Photography Sessions in Melton Run

A product photography session in Melton with me usually follows a clear sequence. The aim is to remove the worry from the day so you can focus on your product looking right.

Pre-shoot brief. You send me your products, your reference images and your end-use plan. I quote on the shoot length, props, retouching and final deliverables. We confirm shoot date and location.

Setup. Studio or on-site, depending on what suits the product. For ecommerce packshots I usually shoot in a controlled studio space. For lifestyle work I'll often build a small set on location, or use real interiors if the brand calls for it.

Shooting. I'll work methodically through the shot list, with one product or scene at a time. You can be on set if you want to approve as we go, or I can send tethered previews to your phone in real time. Most clients prefer the second option, which keeps the shoot moving and lets you keep working from your office.

Edit and delivery. Each image gets colour-graded, dust-spotted and retouched to brand standard. White-background images get cleaned to a true white, with consistent shadows across the range. You'll receive a private gallery with web and print files plus any layered files you've requested.

Shoot length and turnaround vary with the size of the range. I'll quote on both upfront and stick to it.

Where I Photograph Products Around Melton

I'm based in Melton and most of my product photography work happens either in studio or at the brand's premises. As a product photographer in Melton I cover Melton itself, plus the wider west and north-west of Melbourne. I shoot regularly with brands in Werribee, Sunbury, Caroline Springs, Hoppers Crossing and Truganina, and I'm happy to travel further when the project warrants it.

If you're closer to the bay or coast, the photographer in Point Cook page has the relevant details. The photographer in Werribee page covers what's involved when I shoot for brands and retailers in that pocket.

I work with online-only brands as much as bricks-and-mortar shops. The shoot logic is the same. You need imagery that performs on a small phone screen and still holds up at a large hero crop.

For more on shoot prep and getting good imagery on a small budget, I've written a piece with product photography tips for small businesses that pulls together the questions I get asked most often.
